AlphaGo: the ultimate collision of Artificial Intelligence and the most difficult game in the world
With more board configurations than there are atoms in the universe, the ancient Chinese game of Go has long been considered a grand challenge for Artificial Intelligence (AI). In March 2016, the worlds of Go and AI collided in South Korea for an extraordinary best-of-five-game competition, coined The Google DeepMind Challenge Match. Hundreds of millions of people around the world watched as a legendary Go master took on an unproven AI challenger for the first time in history.
The documentary AlphaGo chronicles a journey from the halls of Cambridge, through the backstreets of Bordeaux, past the coding terminals of DeepMind in London, and, ultimately, to the seven-day tournament in Seoul. The ACEDS Benelux Chapter is honored to organize an unique screening in Amsterdam’s landmark movie theater Pathé Tuschinski in Amsterdam. Prof. Jaap van den Herik, will introduce the film. As one of the pioneers in the field of Artificial Intelligence and intelligent legal systems, he will explain what this milestone in the field of AI means for legal technology and future of the legal profession.
With raving reviews from all over the world, be sure not to miss this unique opportunity to see the documentary that “gets you thinking, about thinking in a whole new way”.
